Chinese Journal of Polar Research(CJPR) is a peer-reviewed journal jointly sponsored by the Polar Research Institute of China and the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic Administration.
CJPR is a comprehensive academic journal dedicated to presentation of multi-disciplinary achievements in Arctic and Antarctic expeditions and research. Its primary purpose is to publish achievements in fundamental research, applied research and high-tech research focused or based on the polar regions, and to report the latest discoveries, inventions, theories and methodologies in polar research. The scope of the journal covers a range of disciplines including polar glaciology, polar oceanography, polar atmospheric science, polar space physics, polar geology, polar geophysics, polar geochemistry, polar biology and ecology, polar medicine, Antarctic astronomy, polar environment observation, polar engineering as well as polar information service and management.
CJPR, founded in 1988, is a quarterly journal published in March, June, September and December and circulated internationally.
The journal contains several columns.
Review: Surveys representative results and important advances on well-identified topics, with analyses and insightful views on the states of the polar science and highlights on future research directions.
Research Paper: Presents new and original results and significant developments in all area of polar science for broad readership.
Letters: Briefly presents novel and innovative findings related to polar science.
Trends: Reports a summary of the latest developments in related research.
News: Briefly reports important scientific news, information, and academic affairs, as well as major international programs or conferences in all areas of polar science.
