Abstract:

Polar and oceanic regions play an important role in climate regulation, energy storage, and biodiversity. This study used data mining, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence technologies to aggregate various types of data from “sky, earth, and humans” integrate and develop scientific algorithms, develop a polar and ocean remote sensing big data information service and decision-making center system, and produce innovative thematic products with independent intellectual property rights. This research has currently accumulated 22 industry-leading core algorithms and 173 standard data products. The automated operation of the system achieved the transition of data from conventional sharing to application decision support to serve various aspects such as environmental monitoring, resource development, disaster warning, and government decision-making in the polar and South China Sea regions. This study aimed to provide a reference for the design of information platforms in polar and marine regions.
