Abstract:

This paper gives the results of studies on 11 species of tintinnine ciliates: Tintinnopsis bacillaria,Laackmanniella naviculaefera,Protocymatocylis subrotundata,Cymatocylis calyciformis,Cymatocylis vanhoeffeni,Protorhabdonella simplex,Protorhabdonella curta,Rhabdonella amor,Parundella sp., Xystonella acus and Salpingella decurtata which were obtained during the cruise in Weddell Sea,Antarctica(1992) organized by DFG (Deutsch Forschungs gemeinschaft). Based on the lorica features and other morphological characteristics,all species mentioned above were observed using light microscopical method and redescribed.
